Harambee is a Kiswahili term meaning “let’s pull together."

The Harambee Network is composed of professional, business, and community leaders who sponsor group conferences towards helping individuals attain the harambee principle in local communities.

"Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves; do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others" (Phillipians 2:2-4 New American Standard Bible)

"To develop a sense of universal responsibility... is to develop an attitude of mind whereby, when we see an opportunity to benefit others, we will take it in preference to merely looking after our own narrow interests."
